Double Inverted Crinoline

The concept

The Crinolines in the collection serve the purpose of subverting the viewer's expections of Victorian Undergarments. The organdie layers reflect the brickwork of the house, and the flossing brings in florals from the garden of the estate.

Can you Find all the Flowers?

As with all of the pieces in the collection, they hold secrets if you look - much like Cheswick House. Based on the gardens of the estate, french knots have been used to replicate the multitude of florals that surround the home. This seeks to ensure the consumer and audience searches through the intricacies of the ruffles to appreciate the materials, and feel more connected to the garment.
